Man who started to go bald at 23 reveals incredible transformation after forking out £900 for new ‘hair system’
A man who started to go bald aged 23 has revealed his incredible hair transformation which inspired him to lose weight and change his life.
Lee Meadows, 32, from Nuneaton in Warwickshire, said the loss of his hair ‘crippled him’ and made him ‘balloon’ in weight.
But after getting new hair his whole outlook has completely changed, causing him to start a health kick and slim down.
Speaking to the Daily Star he explained: ‘Just the initial smile I had within two seconds of seeing myself with hair again, it was a massive change’.
Lee, who manages a control centre at a water company, said that it was ‘the best feeling ever’ and that he’s lost five stone, and found love for the first time in five years thanks to his luscious new locks.

After trying creams, tablets and various solutions in 2019 he forked out £900 for a ‘hair system’ – a cap covered in real hair that’s glued to hit head.
‘Everything is falling into place because I have a bit more confidence. Even at work I have had promotions in the past three years, everything has changed just because I feel better in myself,’ he said.
‘It is a simple thing that makes a massive change to your life.’
Lee said that he ‘hit rock bottom’ in his early 20s when he began losing his hair.

Feeling low, he started drinking and eating badly, ballooning in weight to 17st 8lbs.
His social life also took a hit, with him refusing to stay at friend’s houses because he didn’t want them to spot the powder he used to cover up bald patches.
While his friends suggested he just ‘shave it off’ and made jokes about it, Lee said he always wanted his hair.
He says he now has the courage to work out without his hair sweating off, and he manages to have a laugh with his colleagues about it.
