Max Rushden has criticised Soccer AM for not inviting it’s old presenters back for the final edition of the show.
After almost 30 years on air, Soccer AM was broadcast for the last time on Saturday morning.
However, Rushden, who presented the show between 2008 and 2015, was not invited to appear in the last episode.
Rushden feels that he and other presenters such as Helen Chamberlain and Tim Lovejoy should have been asked to appear.
Following Lovejoy’s departure from the show, Rushden took over and worked alongside Chamberlain for many years.

Rushden tweeted to say that the show had ‘missed a trick’ by not inviting the old presenters back.
He wrote on Twitter: ‘Last ever Soccer AM today. Wrote about it when it was announced. Think they’ve missed a trick not inviting everyone back. Unless they’ve invited everyone except me, which would be funny’.
Rushden has a weekly Sunday show with Barry Glendenning on talkSPORT and has also worked for BBC Radio 5 Live.
He is the current host of The Guardian’s Football Weekly podcast. In 2021 he signed with Australian broadcaster Stan Sport to host their football coverage.
The final episode of Soccer AM was typically chaotic, with Stormzy, Jack Whitehall and Stephen Graham appearing as guests, while hosts Mark Fendley and Jimmy Bullard said goodbye.
There were audio issues during the show, while Whitehall and Graham wore ice packs as they had suffered injuries in rehearsals.
Stormzy struggled to make an impact during the volleys challenge. However, he managed to score a penalty to win £400 for Cheltenham fans.
It was reported in March that Soccer AM would end after almost 30 years.
